Want to join the Murphy Band? Follow the checklist below:
- Read over our information packet.
- Complete the Intent Form (Google Form) below or CLICK HERE.
- Complete your audition (if applicable):
- Drumline and colorguard potential members must audition at the specified audition dates and read over their audition packets below.
- Wind players (including woodwinds and brass) in good standing with their previous schools are not required to audition.
- Students entirely new to band and want to play a wind instrument are not required to audition, but need to email Mr. White to receive additional information
- Attend New Member Camps (new members and leadership only).
- Complete the Alabama High School Athletic Association Physical (must be completed and signed by a doctor) to upload Dragonfly.
- University of South Alabama is offering free physicals to current and future Murphy students on May 27, please email Mr. White if you are interested.
- Add the Band’s calendar to your phone/computer to stay up to date with rehearsals and events.
- Pay all required fees.
- Attend band camp and all required rehearsals.
