Updates - week of November 17

Calendar updates

The Band’s calendar has been updated with all performances and rehearsals through the beginning of next school year; please add this Google calendar to your calendar apps and check it regularly for changes.

November and December

November 19 - Scale pass-off #1 due
- Every student must submit a video of themselves playing once scale and arpeggio by 11:59pm on Wednesday November 19.
- The video can be submitted through Schoology or by email to [email protected].
November 22 - MCPSS Honor Band auditions @ Baker High School
December 1 - Winter Concert Dress Rehearsal (3:00pm-5:30pm), colorguard is not required to attend.
December 2 - Winter Concert combined with Chorus (call time 5:00pm, concert at 6:00pm), colorguard IS required to attend and will perform with the band at the end of the concert for a tree lighting ceremony.
- Concert ends with a pep rally-style ceremony to light the Christmas tree in front of the school.
- Colorguard will wear marching band uniforms and use poms.
- Wind players will wear concert black.
December 4 - Band pictures, starting at 3:00pm
- Students can leave once their pictures are taken.
- Attire - marching band uniform.
December 17 - Scale pass-off #2 due
December 18 - optional Pep rally for alumni in auditorium
- Call time 5:30pm/Performance 6:00pm/Dismissed by 7:30pm

Band Fees

Band feesFundraisers, Fees, Sponsorships are past due, please email Mr. White if you do not know your balance.
Fees must be paid to graduate, attend the spring band banquet, apply for leadership positions, and more.

Fundraisers

Penny Wars - concludes this week, winners get a pizza party!
Sheet fundraiser - in-person orders are due December 3, however online orders will continue for the foreseeable future.
