Announcements - April 6, 2026

  • 9Calendar - see the calendar for all upcoming rehearsals/events
  • After-school rehearsal is tomorrow April 7 from 3pm-4:30pm; this includes everyone except colorguard.

    • Band Fun Day @ Top Golf - band fees do not have to be paid to attend; all students must purchase a ticket to attend
  • ​Intent Form is now live at murphyhsband.com/join to sign up for band for next school year.
  • Leadership application is now live at murphyhsband.com/studentleadership - due tomorrow; leadership interviews are after school Wednesday (not including color guard - your interviews are after guard auditions).
  • Band fees - fees must be paid to graduate, apply for leadership positions, and more. These fees pay for music, drill, equipment, staffing, buses, and more.
  • Seniors
    • If you are borrowing an instrument (or anything else owned by the band), it needs to be returned to Mr. White's office immediately following the spring concert.
    • Please complete the senior band survey emailed to you ASAP.
  • Band concert - April 30
    • Call time 5:30pm
    • Concert 6:30pm in Murphy's auditorium
    • The concert is FREE, bring everyone

  • Free physicals at Mitchell Center on Friday May 29 
    • The University of South Alabama hosts this event for free athletic physicals one a year; band students are required to have these physicals so this is a great opportunity to get one easy and free. 
    • Murphy administration is providing a bus, having students leaving Murphy 8:30am and returning by 11:00am. 
    • If you want to participate, email Mr. White ASAP so we can get an accurate count for the buses.
