The Murphy High School Band's Middle School Night will be September 5 at the Murphy vs. Blount football game at Ladd-Peebles Stadium; this event is open to any 7-9 grade band students as well as students interested in colorguard (flags).
Students will rehearse with the Murphy Band, be fed pizza and sodas, be bused to the stadium, perform on the field prior to the start of the game, and perform in the stands during the game. Students should be picked up from the stadium after halftime and MUST be checked out by a parent/guardian before they can leave.
Students and two guests will be admitted to the game for free. The two guests MUST have their name listed on the sign-up Google form below and enter gate 6 between 5pm-6pm; guests must go through security at the gate and must be on time - security will not allow anyone else to enter after 6pm or allow anyone not on the list to enter. This is a new process so please email Mr. White with any questions - [email protected]
Students should wear their middle school band shirt/jacket OR a uniform shirt and uniform pants. Students should bring their own sticks, reeds, mouthpieces, etc. Please indicate on the Google Form if you need to borrow an instrument and we will try to accommodate if we can. Physical copies of the sheet music will be provided to all participants, and is available at the bottom of this page below the Google Form.
